twin turbo manual BMW. Fricken nice, but continues the BMW tradition of having the worlds most infuriatingly difficult to use infotainment system ever. How the hell do I tune to a custom station? It’s impossible.

That’s a single turbo... N55...

I’ll just see myself out *puts on hat and walks out*...

Also, you have to go to the station, and then long press the iDrive button.... I think. My iDrive is the last gen system, but they are very similar..

I like iDrive, once I got used to the way the wheel worked. I think it’s not quite as good as the Chrysler unit, or even the new Chevy unit (in the new Camaro) but I like all the direct buttons to get to NAV, the Radio and other media.

I wonder if someone confused Sensatec with leather.

Also steering sucks, brakes suck, handling sucks. Boo and hiss for the F30.

I had a F30 328i loaner last time when I took my car in, and I must say, the materials in the E90 series feel a bit nicer, and the steering and ride felt a bit more... BMWy.

That 4 cylinder is a damn strong motor, even if it does sound like marbles in a garburator.

The thing I like about the F30 is the ability to purchase a tune or bolt-on and feel an improvement. You could drop $1,000 into an M54 or N52 engine and only get 15hp, but with the N20 engine you can get some serious gains from just a JB4 tune and intake.

It’s actually a single turbo N20. It’s a 320/328, not a 335.

What gives it away? Short block? The position of the oil filter?

I really don’t get why people don’t like the infotainment system, to me it was pretty much intuitive and easy to use. Granted I have been exposed to it since it first appeared. I don’t use the radio too much though because aux jack.

Who has two thumbs and bought the last NA 6-cylinder BMW without iDrive?

This guy...

Kinja'd!!!

Two main things: the size looked off to me but there are also only four lines on the engine cover. The engine cover in an F30 335i will generally have six lines on it.

Now I have to go count the lines on my engine cover....

Thanks!
